Position Summary

Calvary Health Care Bethlehem, Parkdale

Calvary Health Care Bethlehem is a not-for-profit, publicly funded, sub-acute health service that provides specialist palliative care and a statewide neurology service through inpatient beds, clinics and home based care.  

We are currently located in Parkdale while the Caulfield site is being redeveloped into an integrated health precinct.

 

Position

Specialist - Palliative Care – Part Time 20 hours per week, work days must include part of Mondays and all day Thursdays.
 

About the role


An opportunity exists to work in our established, supportive, multi-professional team providing specialist palliative care at Calvary Health Care Bethlehem (CHCB).  

As CHCB is the centre for the State-wide Progressive Neurological Disease Service this post offers unique experience in Neuro-Palliative Care, for which we have a national reputation. There are active education and research programs, with CHCB accredited as a training facility by RACP and RACGP, while final year medical students from The University of Notre Dame rotate through as part of their undergraduate curriculum.

The successful applicant will join a team of five consultants in palliative medicine and will be one of two ward consultants with responsibility for the 32-inpatient beds.
